FIELD OF DREAMS

from the beginning...

Owners Gary and Terri Cox fulfilled a dream when they merged their two careers to form Sundowner of Tennessee. College sweethearts, they had pursued separate careers after meeting at Indiana University: Gary in sales and dealership management; Terry in retail management and insurance. When the dealership Gary worked for began carrying horse trailers, many opportunities opened. Gary was the general manager for this company for 20 years and sold GM cars, as well as trailers by Merhow, Exiss, and Sundowner. Gary longed for his own dealership, and upon seeing the quality of the Sundowner trailers and the customer loyalty, he and Terri began exploring locations for their own Sundowner dealership, but they wanted to relocate to an area of ample recreation - in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains... Gary and Terri have combined their talents and experience to operate the largest full service and parts trailer dealership in East Tennessee with over 6 acres of trailers in stock. Today, Sundowner of Tennessee features Sundowner horse trailers, living quarters, and stock trailers, as well as sport utility trailers, cargo, motorcycle, and race car trailers. Terri, an avid hiker, is always eager to share her knowledge of the Smokies with trail riders and hikers. "We live in a wonderful area with many recreational opportunities," states Terri. "We treat people honestly and fairly with no misleading advertising, and no nonsense!"

Meet our newest addition to the family! "Lucy" is a 5 month old lab/golden retriever mix female who we found at a local lab rescue group. She is certainly a ball of fun and loves people and kids. She is already learning the ropes of being the resident greeter here at the dealership and is turning into a very fine one at that. She is smart and is already learning tricks so she will be ready to entertain everyone that comes in.

Stop and meet Lucy and give us the opportunity to earn your business!

We lost our dear friend and companion "Zoie"of 13 years on January 5th, 2011 due to cancer complications. She is sadly missed by all of us and life will never be the same without her.
